What should we look to determine how objective a site is?

Cornell University research encourages us to ask:

• What goals/objectives does the page meet?
• How detailed is the information?
• What opinions (if any) are expressed by the author?
• Is it an advertisement for something?

• Determine if it is selling a product or a service
• Ask yourself why it was written
• Look at the advertising on the site for clues
• Look for pros and cons of a topic
• Look if they are trying to sell you a product or service
